APREA Appoints New Chapter Board Members

Ms. Kong Ling Yi is currently the Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Shenzhen Capital Real Estate Company. She obtained her Master of Management from Peking University and Master of Finance from the University of Hong Kong.In her current capacity, Ms. Kong is responsible for the Group Real Estate Investment and REITs Business.  She has led the set-up of real estate equity funds and REITs funds, and manage multiple professional real estate fund platforms in the logistics, industrial park, data centre, rental housing and other fields.   The current real estate assets under her management is more than 3 million square meters.

Ms Christina Hau is the Chief Executive Officer of Champion Real Estate Investment Trust, overseeing its  strategic development, asset management, asset enhancement and investment opportunities. Ms Hau is a Registered Architect in Hong Kong with over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, covering design, planning, project management and asset management of renowned world-class commercial complexes. Prior to joining the REIT Manager, Ms Hau worked at Hong Kong’s leading real estate listed companies overseeing key investment properties in Mainland China.  Ms Hau graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with degrees in Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons). She is a member of Hong Kong Institute of Architects and Vice- Chairman of Commercial Properties Research Association under China Real Estate Chamber of Commerce. 

Radha is the CEO and Country Head of JLL, India’s largest commercial property services firm. JLL is a global professional services and investment management firm dedicated to helping clients create value by owning, occupying, developing, or investing in real estate.

Based in Mumbai, Radha drives JLL’s overall direction, strategy and growth in India, one of the most important real estate markets in the world. As a member of the firm’s Asia Pacific Executive Board and chairing the India Leadership Council, Radha commenced her journey with JLL in January 2021. A seasoned financial services executive with over 25 years’ experience in banking, Radha was previously the Group President at Yes Bank, where she headed Multinational Corporate Banking. Prior to that, she was Managing Director, Head of Global Subsidiary Coverage Group, Deutsche Bank India, and a member of the Deutsche Bank India Executive Committee.

She led a relationship management team serving both multinationals and India-based corporates. Having started as a graduate trainee in 1995, she took on positions of increasing responsibility and, in 2008, was the first woman and youngest Managing Director appointed at Deutsche Bank India. Radha is highly respected for her integrity, business acumen and for building strong and trusting relationships with colleagues and clients.

Radha is the vice chair of the ULI India Exco in India. She is also an active participant and contributor to various committees such as World Economic Forum, NAREDCO, CREDAI and CII.

Radha is a believer in living a balanced life with equal focus on work as well as physical and mental fitness. In 2018, Radha founded Ziptofitness, committed to the idea that fitness, good health, nutrition and happiness & success go hand in hand.

Radha is also passionate about building communities, infrastructure, responsible consumption, educating our nation and empowering our girls. An avid sports fan, Radha diligently follow cricket and tennis. She is trained Indian classical singer and her passion for music has led her to create a music YouTube channel as well.

Mr Ryuta Takeuchi is responsible for JLL’s Capital Markets platform across Japan and works with the firm’s extended global Capital Markets team to facilitate inbound investment opportunities into Japan’s commercial real estate market and advise domestic capital owners on outbound investment.  He joins JLL from Mitsubishi Corporation where he was President and CEO of Diamond Reality Management Incorporated, its global real estate investment arm. For Mitsubishi Corporation, Mr Takeuchi oversaw assets under management of over US$8 billion through private real estate investment trusts (REITs) and private funds in Japan and other global markets in this position from 2021 to 2023.  Mr Takeuchi joined Mitsubishi Corporation in 1996 and held a variety of leadership positions including Head of Executive Management and Strategy Planning Office in its Urban Development Group, Managing Director and CEO of MC Asset Management in Europe. He was also Co-CEO of UBS-Mitsubishi Corporation General Partner – UBS- PREMF Limited, a joint venture private funds business with UBS.

Mr Kosei Hatakeyama is the Chief Executive Officer and Representative Director of MC Digital Realty (MCDR) since April 2023, overseeing all management matters. Prior to joining MCDR, Mr Hatekayama served as the Head of Strategy Planning, Urban Development Division, and General Manager of Real Estate Business Department at Mitsubishi Corporation. He successfully rebalanced and optimized global real estate investment portfolios valued at $4 billion, while assuming the role of a board director for both US and Japan-based subsidiaries. From 2019 to 2022, Mr Hatekayama played a key role in corporate planning at Mitsubishi Corporation’s Tokyo headquarters. Reporting directly to the company’s president, he contributed to managing company-wide investment portfolios worth a $100 billion. Prior to that, as the President of MC Aviation Partners Americas in Irvine, CA, from 2015 to 2019, Mr Hatekayama provided executive leadership and oversaw all company-related matters.
